Iowa State students partner with nonprofits for Design-A-Thon
More than 100 graphic design students at Iowa State University got together on Saturday for a Design-A-Thon. For eight hours, the students partnered up with one of 18 local nonprofits and designed something for the organization, like a website, logo or flyers.ISU alumnus and organizer Patrick Finley said opportunities like this are great ways for students to get hands-on experience.”Coming back and sharing something like this with the current generation, it’s fantastic,” he said. “When I did this at Virginia Tech, it was about a third the size.
