The Kia K4: Bold design meets smart innovation

The new Kia K4 arrives at TC Autos as a dynamic hatchback that confidently bridges the space between the C and D segments. Rooted in Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, the K4 combines athletic proportions with expressive styling, generous interior space, and cutting-edge technology to meet the needs of modern drivers.

Designed to turn heads, the K4 measures 4,440mm long and 1,850mm wide, giving it a strong road presence while delivering impressive interior comfort. Rear passengers benefit from class-leading legroom of 964mm and ample headroom, while the 438-litre boot offers practical flexibility for daily use or longer journeys. Signature design details include a sleek floating roofline flowing into the rear hatch, Star Map Signature Lighting inspired by the EV9, hidden rear door handles integrated into the C-pillar, and an exclusive Sparkling Yellow exterior colour. The GT-Line trim adds further sportiness with bold alloy wheels, gloss black accents, paddle shifters, and a distinctive three-spoke steering wheel.

“With the K4, we are demonstrating how our models can deliver dynamic design, innovation, and intelligent technology regardless of their powertrain,” said Sjoerd Knipping, Chief Operating Officer of Kia Europe.

Powertrain options reflect Kia’s commitment to choice and electrification. The range begins with a 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol engine producing 115PS, available with either a six-speed manual transmission or mild-hybrid technology paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. A more powerful 1.6-litre T-GDi engine offers 150PS or 180PS through a dual-clutch transmission, while a full hybrid variant is set to arrive in 2026.

Technology is a major highlight inside the K4. A panoramic digital setup combines a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, 5.3-inch climate display, and 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen into one sleek interface powered by Kia’s Connected Car Navigation Cockpit system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard, with higher trims adding a wireless phone charger and a Harman Kardon premium sound system. Heated and ventilated front seats wrapped in bio-based artificial leather enhance comfort, while Digital Key 2.0 allows compatible smartphones to function as virtual keys. Kia Connect services enable over-the-air updates, streaming, Wi-Fi hotspot functionality, and an AI-powered voice assistant activated with “Hey Kia.”

Engineered specifically for European roads, the K4 delivers a refined yet engaging drive. Extensive chassis development has improved ride comfort, impact isolation, and handling precision. Optimised suspension components, a more direct steering ratio, and available 18-inch Continental tyres ensure the car feels intuitive, confident, and composed in all conditions.

Safety is equally comprehensive, with a full suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Features include Highway Driving Assist 2.0, Smart Cruise Control 2 with emergency stop capability, Blind-Spot View Monitor, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Surround View Monitor, and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2 for enhanced protection in everyday driving.

With bold styling, impressive space, advanced connectivity, and versatile powertrains, the K4 represents a confident evolution of the modern hatchback. Produced in Mexico, the new model is expected to arrive in UK showrooms in the fourth quarter of 2025, with full pricing and specifications to follow. Developed by Kia, the K4 positions itself as a smart, stylish, and forward-looking choice for drivers ready to embrace the next generation of mobility.

The K4 has now launched and is available for test drive at TC Autos Kia Omagh. Call into the showroom or contact 028 8224 3451 for more details.
