“The ASLA Professional Awards represent the profession’s highest recognition for project-based achievement. Submissions reflect the breadth of professional practice, including residential, urban, and large-scale public work, as well as projects grounded in analysis, planning, research, and communications. Winning entries demonstrate design quality, innovation, and measurable impact, as selected by esteemed juries.”

Vilnius Congress Centre Architectural Design Competition
Registration/Submission Deadline: Monday, March 16, 2026

“Vilnius has launched an open international architectural competition to select the design concept for the future Vilnius Congress Centre, a flagship venue aimed at transforming the city’s competitiveness in the global meetings and events market. Proposals are invited until 16 March 2026, with a total prize fund of 100 000 euros. The winning concept will form the basis for a next-generation congress centre planned for completion at the end of 2031 on A. Goštauto street, next to the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania.”

“Design Unlimited launches the Mass Timber Innovation & Design Center of Canada, an international architecture competition supported by leading voices in timber research and construction.
The project seeks visions for an advanced timber structure through design research, prototyping, and public exhibition—a habitat-sensitive, high-performance campus woven into Stanley Park’s meadows, forests, and trail network.”

Rifat Chadirji Prize 2026: The Right to Landscape Reclaiming Land and Sustaining Lives in Sahl Al Khiam, Lebanon

July 30, 2026
Submission Deadline: Friday, July 31, 2026

“The Rifat Chadirji Award invites landscape architects, architects, and urban planners worldwide to propose a landscape led recovery vision for Sahl Al Khiam in Southern Lebanon. The valley, an agricultural lifeline endured occupation and recurrent bombardment, remains vital to the livelihoods, ecology, and identity of the Khiam community. Despite extensive damage, the Sahl survives as a rare space of continuity and refuge.”
