The 1818 Collective is seeking an Interior Designer to join our small, design-driven studio, supporting high-end residential projects. As both a design studio and gallery collective, this role works closely with the principals and values an entrepreneurial mindset, strong initiative, and an appreciation for the cross-pollination between design and gallery.

Full time or flexible, project-based schedule. Role may be structured as W-2 or 1099 depending on experience and availability.

$45–$60/hour (W-2 or contract equivalent), commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

· Support projects from concept through execution

· AutoCAD drawings, layouts, and documentation

· Studio Designer (sourcing, specifications, billing and tracking)

· Design development, presentations, materials research

· Vendor coordination + project management / timeline tracking

· Install + styling

· Design involvement within studio/ gallery

Requirements

· Interior Design background

· Strong AutoCAD proficiency (required)

· Studio Designer proficiency (required)

· Strong design sensibility + detail-oriented

· Organized, self-directed, entrepreneurial mindset

· Comfortable in a small, collaborative studio

· NYC / Hamptons based and willing to travel between locations and beyond

Set in a dynamic environment that encourages playfulness and discovery, the experience is constantly evolving in keeping with Analisse and Kristin’s voracious curiosity. The house hosts special gatherings, artisan workshops and meet-the-maker events to foster connectivity among members of the local and global design community.
