SEGD | opens entries to 2025 Global Design Awards
SEGD (the Society for Experiential Graphic Design), a multidisciplinary global community of professionals, has opened the call for entries for the 2025 SEGD Global Design Awards, presented in partnership with DCL (Design Communications Ltd.).
The awards invite designers, companies, and creative teams from across the globe to submit their most compelling projects.
Entries can be submitted here.
Founded in 1987, the SEGD Global Design Awards recognise outstanding experience design projects which set new benchmarks for excellence. The awards celebrate work that combines the built environment, technology, graphics, and storytelling to positively benefit culture, society, and the human condition. Examples include urban revitalisation, digital installations, exhibitions, and wayfinding.

The SEGD Global Design Awards span various disciplines and design verticals, including branded environments, digital experiences, exhibition, placemaking, public installation, strategy/research/planning, and wayfinding. In addition, this year SEGD is launching the Sustainability Impact Recognition. This new honour will celebrate projects that demonstrate a dedication to sustainable design practices.

Esteemed judges
The 2025 SEGD Global Design Awards will be judged by a group of industry experts led by Jonathan Alger, managing partner of C&G Partners. Alger is a multi-award-winning designer, host of “Making the Museum,” a podcast and newsletter focused on the cultural space, and a strong supporter of exceptional experiential design.
Alger says: “Nowhere else will you see this level of design excellence, all drawn from experiential graphic design. Winning a GDA is big. This year, my goal is to make the GDAs the best ever, including a very special awards reveal session at the 2025 SEGD Conference Experience in San Francisco!”
The jury’s diverse expertise allows for a thorough review of all submissions. Alger will be joined on the panel by Ujijji Davis Williams, founder, JIMA Studio; Chad Finken, experiential design director, IA Interior Architects; Natasha Jen, partner, Pentagram; Roger Mann, co-founder and creative director, Casson Mann; Timothy McNeil, professor of design and director, Design Museum at UC Davis; Judy K. Suh, creative director, Journey’s New York Studio; Julie Vogel, president, Clearstory; and Jocelyn Zhao, freelance graphic designer.
Entries are evaluated anonymously for their capacity to connect people with places, overcome complex design challenges, and create unforgettable user experiences. Projects that promote inclusion, sustainability, and innovation will receive special consideration.
Last year, SEGD gathered leading experiential designers to “THINK BIG!” at the 2024 SEGD Conference Experience Dallas. The three-day conference included a schedule of keynotes, sessions, workshops, and tours, focusing on pushing the boundaries of what design can accomplish.
